damn fish...thats an excellent laptop. I only buy Toshiba or Sony laptops because of the quality - so I think your making a wise decision

I own the Toshiba A75...and Im in love with it.

I think with a 17 inch laptop, 7.8 pounds is pretty good...usually they are much heavier. Seems like you have plenty of outputs with 3 USBs, SVid, and Firewire. Always a good thing to go with a 5400 RPM hard drive for the laptop for cooling purposes.

How much memory does this puppy have?

It's a nice laptop. Comes stock with 512ram, if you ever want to speed it up a bit double that and it'll be perfect!

Great deal!! I'd only do 2 things-as Salain mentioned, kick it up to a gig of memory-the speed difference will be well worth it. The second thing would be to upgrade it to XP Pro, but it's probably not the end of the world if you don't (assuming that all you are really doing is surfing the web).
